Meet Ryne our foster dog from the Second Chance League. (ADOPTED)
The Squid Acres Kennel is devoted to the quality care and enjoyment of our sled dogs. If the dogs aren't having fun ... we don't have fun. Over the past few years we have been building our kennel with a variety of dogs from the Fairbanks animal Shelter, experienced dogs from reputable racing kennels and a handful of pups from reputable racing and trapline kennels. We also try to help the second chance league by fostering a dog when we can give a little extra attention.
In 2009 - 2010 we will be training our first race team. Team Squid will be shared between the two of us. We are both planning run a 200 or 300 mile race, yet to be determined. We will start a race blog this winter for friends and family, so check back to watch our team evolve and see how the race season goes.
